Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) has approved the allotment of land to M/s UltraTech Cement Ltd for setting up a cement manufacturing unit in the Kataria Industrial Area.
The project will be developed across multiple plots—IP-1, IP-2, IP-3, and IP-4—and will focus on producing a range of cement products, including OPC, PPC, PCC, and PSC. The total proposed investment for Phase I stands at ₹690 crore, marking one of the notable industrial investments in the region.
The upcoming unit is expected to generate direct employment for around 120 people, with job opportunities increasing to nearly 800 during the commissioning phase. This is likely to provide a substantial boost to local employment and economic activity.
